Tent camping Fall and Spring
Tent camping in the fall and spring- this includes the Fall Camporee in October, the Ikes
campout in October and the Spring Camporee in April.
Tent -either bring your own, share with a buddy or borrow a Troop 5 tent. This
is something you must determine and arrange for on your own.
Sleeping bag, a warm one. Maybe a fleece liner for extra warmth.
Boots or weather-appropriate foot gear.
Rain coat or poncho.
Snow pants (if there is not any snow – it might snow while we are there.)
Water bottle.

Indoor Camping in the Winter
Sleeping will be indoors but activities will be outdoors during the day
Do not forget these things
Sleeping bag - warm enough for the cool temperatures.
Cots are recommended for youth - the concrete floor is real hard and real cold.
If no cot is available, a pad is needed to provide insulation and comfort.
Adults need to bring cots also.
Snow pants or warm pants with long underwear.
Extra shoes or slippers to wear inside the lodge that WILL NOT be worn outside.
Water bottle.
Pillow
Boots, jacket, mittens, hat appropriate for the anticipated weather - plan (hope) for
SNOW.
An extra set of dry clothes "from the skin out."
At least one spare set of clothing - from the skin out in case of accidents.
Indoor shoes - boots are NOT worn inside the building.

Mess kit - the Troop will supply all necessary items
