NOTES FOR NEW SCOUT PARENTS AND LEADERS
FALL CAMPOUT - SHETEK SCOUT CAMP
November 16-18, 2007
The WEBELOS (soon-to-be New Troop 5 Scouts) are expected to attend the campout at Shetek Scout Camp on the weekend of November 16-18, 2007. A Class I physical form (your Den Leader has the forms) must be given to the Scoutmaster prior to leaving for the event. No Scout can attend unless a Class I physical form is on file with the Scoutmaster.
Details
There will need to be at least one Leader attending that is familiar with the new Scouts
All sleeping will be indoors - it will be cool (50 degrees at night) but not cold.
Bring your Scouts to the Church at about 5:30 pm on Friday night. Feed them before you bring them.
Troop leaders will cook supper for leaders per Troop tradition (bring a steak or something for yourself for the griddle. The Troop will supply the taters and such).
The evening program is free time - if the weather is nice - Capture the Flag.
Scouts will be outdoors all day and most of the evening on Saturday.
Scouts will cook Saturday supper outdoors. Troop leaders will provide guidance. This includes the WEBELOS.
Parents can pick-up Scouts at the church shortly before or after NOON on Sunday in front of the Library.
